Police deployed in Panamericana highway as picket halts traffic

05 Aug 2014 | Workers of the Lear auto-parts company were blocking the Panamericana highway this morning near the Buenos Aires province locality of General Pacheco with police officers being deployed in the area to ease traffic in the road’s main track.

Workers of the Lear auto-parts company were blocking the Panamericana highway this morning near the Buenos Aires province locality of General Pacheco with police officers being deployed in the area to ease traffic in the road’s main track.
The picket began at around 7 am today. Lear workers have being staging several protests over the past weeks to demand the reinstatement of employees dismissed by the company this year.
