16.01.2015 The attack against Charlie Hebdo and the anti-Semitic hostage taking in a kosher supermarket at Porte de Vincennes to which the immense republican marches of this past weekend responded have set the stage for Hollande’s comeback on the front of the political scene. In only a few days, the conjuncture has been profoundly modified. It remains however to be known if this situation will consolidate itself.
20.11.2014 On the night of October 25-26, a young man, 21 years old, an environmental activist, Rémi Fraisse, was murdered by the French police during a protest against the construction of a dam in the south of France. While the weak government of François Hollande was seeking to make its "authority" worth something, this crime could cause quite the opposite. For the time being, only the great "respect for the republican institutions" of reformist parties and organizations and even of groups of the "far left," allows the crisis not to intensify and turn into a massive popular mobilization.
15.10.2014 At times when the youth of Hong Kong have rebelled, when the echo of this movement can resound in other hot areas of the periphery of China like Xianjiang, and in the context of the constant increase of the workers' struggles, an internal debate within the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is exploding publicly days before a key meeting.

08.07.2014 On June 12, 2014, three Israeli students were kidnapped while hitch-hiking towards Gush Etzion, just north of Hebron in the West Bank. Hebron is a group of twenty-two Israeli settlements south of Jerusalem. Hamas welcomed this kidnapping, without actually claiming responsibility, contrary to other Islamist groups. Moreover, the Palestinian government has taken part in the search for the kidnapping victims by the sides of the Israeli State. However, the Israeli Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu decided to directly lash out at the Palestinian State that he holds responsible for the kidnapping because it is in the hands of Hamas, while the two arrested suspects are not part of Hamas and actually belong to a clan generally hostile to this latter. Finally, the Israeli government, as usual, prefers a policy of collective punishment, to hold the whole Palestinian population responsible for this kidnapping, and to lead a genuine armed intervention against them.
11.06.2014 From May 22nd to 25th, elections for the European Parliament took place in the 28 member-countries of the European Union (EU). With an persistent and sizeable absention, the election revealed a strong political polarization and a weakening of the traditional parties - socialdemocrats and conservatives.
13.05.2014 For the last 3 months the postal workers of the Paris Arrondissement 92 have been carrying out a hard struggle against the layoffs of their comrades in a precarious situation. It began in just one Post Office and spread to others, despite the indifference of the union leaderships. As days passed, the workers were also radicalizing their demands and are now raising the demand for the end of job uncertainly inside the Post Office.
13.05.2014 The postal workers of Rueil-Malmaison, La Garenne-Colombes/Bois-Colombes, Gennevilliers, Courbevoie and other mail distribution centres in 92 District (Hauts-de-Seine) have been on strike since January 29th. The struggle started with the demand to hire the precarious postal workers of Rueil-Malmaison with proper contracts: 87 % of the postal workers in this office took action to defend the right of their co-workers to continue working with them.
